Almost all brands are backed by professional snowboarders, who know what's important to protect yourself against wind and weather in the mountains. Nothing is as changeable as the weather, especially in the mountains. All jackets have a number of elaborate technical features for extra functionality and comfort. Think of a powder skirt, fleece lining, ventilation zips at the armpits, fleece pocket for your goggle and so on. Almost all snowboard jackets have a hood as well.
