Named after the legendary spot.... where "real" skating was born. The Dogtown Cross was created by C.R. Stecyk III and first appeared in public in the pages of Skateboarder Magazine in 1976. It was soon applied to skateboards in the field of innovative art and in the paint designs of Wes Humpston and Jim Muir. In 1981 Mike Muir and his brother Jim moved into his house in Venice, shortly followed by Mike Suicidal Tendencies, and Skate Rock history was born.
"Our only Crime is Being Original".
40+ years later - fast forward - and Dogtown is still rolling hard and unbeatable in its original graphics! Three years ago Jim Muir and Mike Muir brought the brands back together under the distribution of Dogtown X Suicidal, which is coming full circle as a family business as it was in the 1980s. Rock on!
