The House of Powder is a freeride snowboard school in Isoyagun-Hokkaido, Japan. Hokkaido is located right on the path of icy winds and is surrounded by the warm waters of the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean, creating the 'ocean effect', or what they call it in the United States: the 'lake effect', but on a much larger scale. This creates the perfect layer of snow for boarding, resulting in Powder Wonderland... Hills bigger than houses and footpaths dug out of the ground. You come here with one goal, namely snowboarding!
The exaggerated taper and wide-nose directional shape of this board results in maximum control and float. This is coupled with a reactive S-Camber profile for optimum float and control in deep snow. With a similar design to many of today's best surfboards, this board is specifically designed for powder.
