Obey T-shirts and Revert 95 have something special in common. We are big fans of the work of Shepard Fairey and have been supporting the brand since its inception in 2001. To celebrate our 15 year anniversary, we also released a T-shirt in collaboration with Obey: the Obey X Revert 95 tee, which sold out in no-time. Obey's T-shirts are not just shirts, they are wearable pieces of art. Obey was born out of the street art campaign of artist Shepard Fairey. With this campaign, inspired by the Do It Yourself mentality of punk and skateboarding, he wanted to spread his message of rebellion by sarcastically telling people to obey. In 2001, he started making T-shirts, which he saw as a new canvas for his work and an opportunity to spread his message to an even wider audience. Shepard's T-shirt designs are influenced by the imagery of popular culture, propaganda, marketing and politics. His roots in street art are also still a major influence. This results in sometimes exuberant, sometimes subtle graphics, which are printed on shirts with good fits and made of the finest cotton.
