Like so many successful skate and surf brands, RVCA also started in someone's garage. This time, it was in 2001 in Costa Mesa, California, in Pat Tenore's garage. RVCA's founder grew up in the underprivileged Mission District of San Francisco. He spent most of his youth surfing and skating, and at 14, he landed his first surf sponsorship. Things only went uphill for Tenore after that. At 20, he decided to take the plunge and found RVCA (which was conceived on the back of a napkin). At Revert 95, we sell RVCA unisex clothing and caps online and in-store. Our range includes RVCAt-shirts, sweaters, shirts, pants ,shorts, beanies, andcaps. Revert 95 also has plenty of RVCA children 's clothing and backpacks . The RVCA clothing collection is seasonal and changes throughout the year. Check the website for the current RVCA clothing stock.
RVCA connects different subcultures
RVCA's difference from other major skate and surf brands is that it doesn't focus solely on skate and surf culture. Well-known and lesser-known athletes, such as MMA athlete BJ Penn and Jiu Jitsu star Lucas "Loucura" Leite, serve as ambassadors for RVCA. RVCA also sponsors emerging and established artists through its Artist Network Program. RVCA's goal is to connect different subcultures. This philosophy and interest is reflected in the apparel designs.
RVCA meaning
RVCA is pronounced Roeka in the Netherlands. The V in RVCA is actually a U. The name is a creative corruption of the Greek word for clothes. The logo also features two different fonts: 'lambda' and 'roman'.
