DGK started out as a quirky skateboard crew from Philadelphia, but has grown into one of the most influential skateboard and clothing brands today. DGK founder Stevie Williams and his friends met every day in the legendary LOVE park and were disdainfully called "dirty ghetto kids" by other skaters. Not long after, Stevie and his crew took over LOVE park, and used DGK as their nickname. Years later, when Stevie became a pro for, amongst others Chocolate By then, most of his friends had stopped skating. Nevertheless, Stevie continued to represent his old crew, and in 2002 he founded the eponymous brand. The composition of the crew may have changed, but DGK still stands for brotherhood, skating, chilling out and having fun with your friends. DGK's clothing and skateboards have a distinctive, instantly recognisable style, characterised by bold slogans, popping colours and original prints. They are inspired by classic sportswear, weed smoking and of course skateboarding. The DGK team currently consists of top skaters like Josh Kalis, Marcus McBride, Rodrigo TX and Stevie Williams.
