OBEY : A colourful spring with 90's vibes
Founded in 2001 by artist and illustrator Shepard Fairey, as an extension of his work in activism, the well known brand Obey is mainly focused on political social propaganda and uses this in the designs of the clothes. You can always see a bit of a communist atmosphere in the clothes, because of the propaganda style that is often used in the graphics. In his designs, he uses pieces of newspapers and images from magazines and transforms them into collages with a pop-art vibe. Obey wants to come up with new and unique, original designs and they have great artists working with them. Pastel colours, striking retro graphics and illustrations and a focus on creativity is what you see in this spring '19 collection.
